It combines 21 AI tools (document drafting, legal search, compliance checks, analytics), 12 practice-area modules (RAF, conveyancing, litigation, family law, labour/CCMA, criminal, corporate, estates, immigration, IP, maritime, collections), trust accounting compliant with the Legal Practice Act 28 of 2014, FICA/KYC verification, e-signatures, prescription alerts, and a client portal — all running on a single South African-hosted platform.

Is LexPrime OS suitable for my firm size?

LexPrime OS scales from solo practitioners through to firms with 50+ attorneys. The Solo plan (R1,199/month) supports 1 user with full access to every module. Small Firm (R2,999/month) supports up to 5 users and is our most popular tier. Medium Firm (R4,999/month) supports up to 10 users with advanced analytics. Large Firm (R6,499/month base + R499 per additional user) supports 11+ users with dedicated account management and SLA guarantees.

How does the AI document generation work?

LexPrime OS uses Ollama — an open-source local LLM engine — installed on your own server. Your client files never leave South African jurisdiction. When you request a document draft, the system builds a comprehensive context (client details, case history, court dates, prior communications, settlement history, litigation events) and sends it to the local AI model with a South African legal system prompt. The AI returns a complete document — summons, pleading, affidavit, contract, demand letter, or any of 14 document types — in around 30–90 seconds. Default model is granite3.1-moe:3b; you can switch to llama3.2 or any Ollama-compatible model in AI Settings.

Is my data secure and POPIA compliant?

We are honest about this: LexPrime OS has a POPIA-aware architecture, not a formal POPIA certification. The platform includes the technical measures POPIA requires — role-based access control (6-tier hierarchy), audit logging for Section 30 access requests, 2FA (TOTP, SMS, email, backup codes), encrypted password storage (bcrypt with 12 rounds), SA data residency, and AI inference that runs locally via Ollama (no client data sent to external APIs). However, full POPIA compliance also requires firm-level policies (Information Officer appointment, retention schedules, breach notification procedures, Data Subject Access Request workflows) that are the firm's responsibility. Our compliance AI tool can audit your documents for POPIA gaps in 30 seconds.

Can I integrate LexPrime OS with my existing tools?

Yes. LexPrime OS integrates natively with: (1) PayFast, Ozow, and Yoco for SA payment processing — webhook handlers are live; (2) WhatsApp Business API for two-way client messaging with AI auto-reply; (3) IMAP/SMTP email for unified inbox with automatic case linking; (4) Bank feeds for trust reconciliation; (5) Ollama for local AI inference. For accounting, we export to Pastel/Sage-compatible formats. We do not currently integrate with Xero, QuickBooks, or Salesforce — those are on our roadmap.

What kind of support do you offer?

Support tiers match your plan: Solo gets standard email support (24-hour response); Small Firm gets priority email and WhatsApp support (8-hour response); Medium Firm gets priority support with a 4-hour SLA; Large Firm gets a dedicated account manager with a 1-hour SLA and quarterly business reviews. All support is staffed from Johannesburg, in South African time zones. We do not outsource support offshore.

How long does it take to set up?

For Solo and Small Firm plans: typically 2–4 hours including VPS provisioning, Ollama installation, database setup, and importing your existing clients and matters. We provide a one-click deploy script and a step-by-step setup guide. For Medium and Large Firm plans: 1–3 days including data migration from your previous system, custom branding, and team training. Our team handles the heavy lifting — you don't need in-house IT.

Do I need to install anything?

LexPrime OS is self-hosted on a South African VPS — we provide the VPS, install the software, and hand you the admin credentials. If you want AI features, you'll need Ollama installed (we do this for you). Your attorneys, paralegals, and staff access the system through their browser — nothing to install on their machines. Question 10

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Accepted Answer

You own your data, full stop. If you cancel, we export everything (clients, cases, documents, communications, trust transactions, time entries) to a portable format (CSV + original document files) and provide a download link valid for 30 days. After 30 days, your data is permanently deleted from our infrastructure. We never hold data hostage and never charge an exit fee.
